Join us for Disability Night Out on Saturday, October 10, 2026, the first national day of collective presence for people with disabilities, their families, and allies. It's three things at once: a community night out, a collective action, and a real-world access check. On the same day, in restaurants across the country, we take our seats at the table, together, showing restaurants the patrons and spending power they're missing out on. Aim to be at the table between 6 and 9 p.m., your local time. The more of us who are out at the same time, the harder we are to miss, for restaurants, for each other, and for the press. If evenings don't work for you, come when it's convenient – lunch, an early dinner, or a pub after dinner all work. We just hope most of us can share those three hours. How it works: 1. Pick your restaurant. Go where it's realistic for you, with friends, family, or a group. Saturday evening is busy, so reserve ahead if you can. 2. Show up on October 10, at the table between 6 and 9 p.m., your local time. 3. Tell us what happened. Post a photo, tag @DisabilityNightOut, and add #DisabilityNightOut. Send us the details at disabilitynightout.org/share. Restaurants are in the hospitality business, and what we share helps them welcome more guests and keep them coming back. Let us know by Saturday, October 3, at least five to seven days before October 10. We can help get the word out, and we may be able to tell local media what is happening in your community.
When you plan, encourage your group to be at the table between 6 and 9 p.m., your local time, so we show up together. If evenings don't work for someone, come when it's convenient – lunch, an early dinner, or a pub after dinner all work.
Tell us your plan
It takes a couple of minutes. We won’t contact or alert any restaurant, and you don’t need to tell us which one.

You are welcome to. Local news outlets, community and independent media, and your own posts and photos all help. Local TV can move quickly on a timely story, sometimes with only a few days’ notice.
